Mobilizing for change: OuluHealth gathers together a must-see roster of speakers and keynotes for the Nightless Night event
The Life Science cluster will get a boost with an impressive set-up of international speakers in June, with the OuluHealth ecosystem meeting Nightless Night rounding up the business trends at a global level. Here are just some of the top pickings from an exhausting list of health tech aficionados taking part in the event:
David Whitlinger, Executive Director of the New York eHealth Collaborative, has served, prior to his current position, as the Director of Healthcare Device Standards and Interoperability for the Intel Corporation in its Digital Health Group. His expertise in wireless tech is impressive to say the least: in the Healthcare Device Standards Group, he worked on a wide variety of wireless standards, and with his team, has held leadership roles in many standards organizations throughout the world, including: Health Level Seven (HL7); Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE); IEEE 1073; Bluetooth SIG; WiMedia Alliance; Homeplug Alliance; UPnP Forum; Oasis; WSI; and, the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA).
Mr. Whitlinger will present the keynote on the New York eHealth Collaborative, after which he will take part in the panel “Health Ecosystems Value Proposals”.
Anna Lefevre Skjöldebrand has been the chief executive of Swedish Medtech since 2006. Swedish Medtech is an association for medical technology, which gathers 170 member companies within the medtech field. Since 2011, she has also been the chairperson of Eucomed’s National Associations Network and a member of the Eucomed board. Eucomed is the European Medical Device Association. At Eucomed, she is engaged as the chairperson of their eHealth task force. In Sweden, Ms Lefevre Skjöldebrand has recently been appointed member of the board of the Swedish eHealth Agency and a member of the senior advisory board of the Medical Products Agency. She is also a board member of the Swedish Standards Institute (SIS) and Swecare.
Ms. Lefevre Skjöldebrand participates in the panel “Trends in Medical Technology”.
Ari Takanen is the founder and Chief Research Officer of Oulu-based Codenomicon, recently known for discovering the Heartbleed vulnerability at the same time as Google. With more than 15 years of software security testing under his belt, he has lately focused more on security testing in the medical devices and industry automation fields. Ari is the author of several papers on software security, and is a frequent speaker at security and testing conferences, leading universities and international corporations. He is also the author of two books on VoIP security and security testing.
